ERIC C. WERNER

President

Eric Werner, President of Artistic Piano, has been passionate about music and music making from his earliest memories. That obsession led him on a long and winding musical road from his days at USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles, to a career as a professional symphony orchestra musician, to his ultimate destination as a top notch concert piano technician and piano enthusiast. A registered piano technician and graduate of several prestigious manufacturer factory training programs in piano technology (including those of Yamaha and Fazioli), Eric's vision of a first rate, all inclusive piano business ultimately gave birth to Artistic Piano. In his time as a piano technician and business owner Eric has tuned pianos for many famous musicians and pianists such as Emanuel Ax, André Watts, Diana Krall, Herbie Hancock, Alicia Keys, The Piano Guys, George Winston, Tori Amos, Lyle Lovett, Garrick Ohlsson, The Brubeck Brothers Quartet and Don McLean. He serves as the resident piano technician for The Rogue Valley Symphony where he tunes and services The Raven, a 9' Hamburg Steinway concert grand. He also serves as technician for The Britt Festival and The Craterian Theater.

Eric's vision continues to be embodied by an intense commitment to and love of musical performance and education, friendly and ethical customer service, and the very best piano selection and service our region has to offer!

JACKSON WERNER

MANAGER

Jackson Werner, Manager of Artistic Piano and son of President Eric Werner, is a passionate lover and advocate of music and has been for as long as he can remember. The son of a symphony musician turned piano technician, Jackson came up learning about music and art of many varieties. In his youth his love of music grew to include theater and live performance; locally, Jackson has performed in several musicals with the Craterian Theater’s Teen Musical Theater of Oregon as well as the Oregon Conservatory of Performing Arts. While pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Communication at Pepperdine University, Jackson sang with an a cappella group and served as the music director for a musical theater Songfest program sponsored by his university. Jackson compliments his love of music with people and professional skills gained during his time as the Recruiting Coordinator at the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, where he partnered with lawyers and law students to organize mass interview programs. His love for music paired with his passion for the Southern Oregon community eventually brought him back to the Rogue Valley to partner with his father Eric. He now hopes to share his passion through top notch service and dedication to the community’s musical needs. He truly believes there is life-changing value in the enjoyment of music‒‒especially the act of music making‒‒and he is excited to serve you because of it!

Emma WERNER

Piano teacher / associate

Emma Werner joins the Artistic Piano team as a music teacher and associate. She has loved music since her childhood and has been playing and performing on the piano for over 21 years. She has won classical competitions and is also an expert at playing by ear. She was also the only high school student chosen by Dr. Alexander Tutunov to perform in a master class at SOU for a visiting Julliard professor.

Emma serves the Artistic Piano family as both a teacher of all ages and skill levels and as an associate assisting in instrument repair and piano action regulation. She also leads our recreational music-making group piano lesson program, Anyone Can Play, which emphasizes music-making as fun and exciting rather than high pressure and performance-based.

She is excited to serve you!
